After seven years of watching Algorithmia grow into the leading enterprise MLOps platform, I could not be more excited to announce today that Algorithmia is being acquired by DataRobot.
Together with co-founder Kenny Daniel, I founded Algorithmia in 2014 with the goal to make artificial intelligence and machine learning accessible to all. What started as an algorithm marketplace has transformed into the world’s leading enterprise MLOps platform, enabling leaders to put ML models into production faster, more securely, and cost-effectively within their existing operational processes.
While there has been major progress in the AI/ML space over the last several years, we’re still seeing companies work to improve inefficient ML lifecycles and battle various issues from hidden technical debt; to lack of stakeholder buy-in; to challenges with IT governance, security, and compliance requirements.
With more than 130,000 users, Algorithmia’s MLOps platform automates ML deployment, optimizes collaboration between operations and development, leverages existing SDLC and CI/CD systems, integrates with best-of-breed tools, and provides advanced security and governance. Our software enables leaders to get models into production in cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments in a fraction of the time required from a do-it-yourself solution or any other market alternative. We’re thrilled to see our customers achieve ROI in the form of reduced organizational cost, increased revenue, and higher customer satisfaction. Even more, we’re proud to see the impact that these leaders are making with ML every day.
We’re honored to serve world-class companies across financial, life science, and government industries such as Ernst &Young, Merck, Deloitte, Raytheon, the United Nations, and other Fortune 500 companies.
What we have learned from our customers is that while Algorithmia provides immense value in terms of getting models into production, there are still parts of the ML lifecycle they need greater support in. By joining forces with DataRobot, we’ll not only provide the MLOps backbone, but also give customers the option to train, validate, automate, deliver, and govern their models all in a single platform. Our enterprise-grade governance and security will be further bolstered by the DataRobot offering, and we remain committed to integrating with best-in-class tools throughout the ML lifecycle so that you can run ML exactly how it makes sense to you.
Algorithmia’s vision has always been to empower every organization to achieve its full potential through the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. DataRobot’s mission is completely aligned with that vision, and we couldn’t be happier to be joining forces with them. Together, we’ll provide an end-to-end service that will dramatically accelerate our customers’ impact from AI.
I want to thank all of our customers, investors, employees, and community members who have contributed to Algorithmia’s success over the past seven years. With the support of all of you, Algorithmia has grown and improved time and time again.
Looking ahead, I can’t wait to see the impact we will make together as we become a part of the DataRobot family. We will continue our mission to free developers and data scientists to deliver intelligent applications, but with an even greater arsenal of AI and ML tooling that can’t be beat.
