In this study we use system logic to create a relay between image and sound.

As seekers of ghost play within machinic representation, Kunsole investigates the assemblage of sound and image within interpretive communities of fine and applied arts. We begin with the premise that there is no shortage of existing images and sounds parts, and that the problem is finding a procedure to select and arrange them. Using rule-based parameters, we develop a program for outputting suitable exhibition material. The result is an improbable manifestation of overlaid human logic systems which function as memorial and revival of apparently dead material.

Kunsole is a collaborative vehicle for avant-pop sound + image + performance. They formed at de Consul and Volcano bar in Rotterdam NL in order to cross-import ideas and tactics between creative sectors such as experimental music, high art, and radical graphics. Since 2003 they have performed / exhibited at the Deitch Art Parade, Bridge Art Fair, SFAC Gallery, New Langton Arts and Swissnex.
